Coltsfoot

You know that the skiing season is coming to an end when the coltsfoot flourish right by the lift.

We have been in the mountains skiing for a week now, without Internet connection. That’s why stuff has piled up on my lap top. I’m posting all of it today.

  2. Sounds like a great time. :) I'd be a little jittery by the time a week had passed with no internet, though...

  3. Silme: Thanks. Yes, we did eat some oranges and KvikkLunch, or at least something similar to it >:)

Elizabet: Sometimes I think it's good to be without Internet for a while, because the Internet takes a lot of time and attention.

  4. Hestehov!

I don't think I've ever seen the first hestehov and the first hvitveis within so short time before. It only took about a week between winter and summer this year. I adore the weather this Easter, but I do think I'll prefer a more "normal" spring in the future. Even if I don't like the on/off snow we tend to have going all through FebruaryMarchAprilandsometimesMay I do like the pace of Norwegian spring. This year was too quick!

  5. Cruella: Yes, that's what I usually call it. I had to look up the English word on the Internet, via the latin name, which is really cool, and about the only one I'm able to remember: Tussilago Farfara >:)

  7. Will you "mourn" the end of the season with some ceremonies?

  8. Taking a week to unplug and ski - that sounds fantastic! Sorry the season is coming to an end! Hope you had plenty of time to enjoy the snow this year!

  9. No Internet connection. Now, that's a vacation.

  10. Lydia K: that's true. On the other hand, spring is the best time for skiers too. We always find snow on higher altitudes >:)

Enid: Our local skiing resort is closed now, but in the mountains there is still snow and open lifts. Our last skiing weekend is the forthcoming weekend, and the weather forecast is great ... and then there may be ceremonies >:)

Marisa: I've got about 60-70 days of skiing this season, so it's been great ... and then there is the summer skiing on the glacier coming up in late June. It's a tradition we have, and the kids are addicted to it.

Helen: Sometimes it's great to be away from the Internet for a while. It's a big time stealer.

  11. Sounds like heaven: jumping off the grid and skiing for a week. I must admit I'm happy to finally see spring here in New England, but I always mourn the passing of winter months.
