Kiss live

It was concert with Kiss in town tonight.

When I was 12 years old, I thought it was the coolest and most scary band in the world. When I was 15, I realized that it was not more than an average band. But it was cool to hear them live. Very good and experienced entertainers, great show.

Kiss has only two good songs, really; Detroit Rock City, and Black Diamond.

  1. When I was a kid, I thought KISS was the ultimate, because my big brother loved them. To me, big bro knew everything...maybe still does.

  3. Anita, I guess Kiss is part of the common cultural history for the kids of the 70's. I think this kind of flashbacks is cool, they even had the same plateau boots. It's not my fav band anymore. But I think bands playing with double base drums and no synths or keyboards deserve some respect >:)

Hehe, sorry to mislead you, Enid ... we'll see, if I get hold of a webcam >:)

  4. Being of a romantic persuasion, they've always been a scary band to me! Not quite in KISS's style, Husband has tickets to an Andrea Bocelli concert which is part of the Soccer World Cup festivities being held here in SA. Ayoba!!!!!!

  5. Any band is better live. Kiss was always scary because of the crazy makeup and because your parents didn't want you to listen to them, let alone go to see them in person. Right now, my head is bobbing to them singing.

  6. Can't wait for Soccer World Cup to start, Judy. I'll be watching about every game on TV. Have you got tickets too the games?

True, Helen. Live music is great. Blues for instance; I hardly ever listen to it on my iPod, but I've had a couple of fantastic nights in the live-music bars on Sixth Street >:)

  7. What clubs do you go to downtown? You might have seen my son, who's a bouncer.

  8. Amazingly I've never seen KISS. Not sure why as I've seen a lot of concerts. Not lately because of kids and all. And I'm also eagerly awating World Cup soccer to start. An awesome global spectacle to be sure.

  9. Helen, It's 4-5 years since last time I was in Austin. Need to find some excuse to get there again. My favorite place was Joe's Generic Bar. Don't think it exists anymore. A friend told me that the owner is dead and the place is closed down now; pity >:(

Stephen, I've had the same problem last 10-15 years. Family and kids make it difficult to enjoy cultural life, both theater, opera and concerts. My first priority is to get to all the black metal concerts, and when legends like KISS visit town >:)
