Blogging in Ramadan

There’s apparently something strange with Blogger right now. People are posting comments that don’t show up in the comments area of my blog (I get them in my mailbox).

Maybe it’s because of Friday 13th?

Or maybe it’s because of the Ramadan? You’re not allowed to blog or comment on blogs between sunrise and sunset; it's brain-food. This is probably God’s revenge over an atheist blogger. I post my favorite Mohammad cartoon here (there’s a link to all of them in the right margin). Maybe that will make Him happy >:)))

  2. You're antagonizing Allah? You're either crazy, brave, or funny. Hmm. I'll go for a combo of the three.

  3. It's the new spam screener. I you go to your DESIGN and choose comments then choose spam, it will show what's being filtered. You can choose to allow them, though. You got filtered from my blog this morning, and I only figured it out about noon.

I THINK it is filtering comments with links, as for some reason it thinks they are spam.

  4. If I get a fatwa on me, I better delete this post and mock the Christian God instead >:)

Thanks for the technical update, Hart. There's always something new; it's not easy to keep up with the Google-gang and their new inventions >:)

  5. I found a lot of comments taken by the spam filter and brought them back where they belong. Thanks to Allah, His prophets, and Hart >:)

  6. FYI- You do know its against Islam to draw Mohammad? I'm just saying since its a religion and not a terrorist organization, maybe this pic is a little disrespectful?

Please don't take this as a pissed off commenter. I just really wouldn't want you to get a fatwa on your head! You and Salmon Rushdie would have to hide out together.

  7. ...Blogger can be cantankerous at times, I agree...but not sure if a higher power is to blame:)

Funny stuff, glad I stopped by.

  8. Michele: Yes, I know it’s against Islam to draw Mohammad, but I’m atheist and don’t obey the Koran. I think the drawing is excellent, spot on and necessary criticism og islamic culture and society.

Maybe I’ll remove the drawing from the post and replace it by a Jesus cartoon. The Christians are not that violent anymore. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life hiding from religious maniacs. The Danish artist who made the Mohammad cartoons has been in deep shit since the cartoons were published. He has even built a bunker in his house, where he can escape when fanatic muslims come to kill him (and he has used the bunker).

In the match between the Pen and the Sword, islamists have scored many goals for the Sword team. Think I need to write a post about this some time ...

Elliot: Thanks for stopping by >:)

  10. Michele, I didn't suspect anything else. I guess most (all) writers are defenders of the freedom of speech >:)
